Carnarvon Intersection Upgrade - Robinson, Angelo and Cornish Streets

Planning project

We are seeking to upgrade the intersection of Robinson Street, Cornish Street and Angelo Street in the Shire of Carnarvon.

Robinson Street is a Primary Distributor Road which connects the town of Carnarvon to North West Coastal Highway (NWCH). The section from NWCH to Cornish Street, along with Cornish Street is part of the RAV Network 7 for combination vehicles up to 36.5 metres in length.

Cornish Street and Angelo Street are local roads under the jurisdiction of the Shire of Carnarvon.

Latest news

A proposal has been established for construction of a single lane roundabout which will improve the serviceability, operational efficiency and safety of the four-lane unsignalised intersection. This was in response to a Road Safety Audit conducted in August 2013 which highlighted the need to review and improve the intersection layout within the current road reserve.

Consultation with the local community took place in September through a social media campaign.

Through this campaign we have prepared a list of FAQ’s addressing the community questions.
